Metric

Big events: impact and was it priced in?

Every major upgrade, launch, ETF, court ruling and hack, measured on daily closes and always relative to BTC (coin % minus BTC %) so a market-wide move is not credited to the event. Run-up = 30 days before → the day before. Reaction = day before → day after. To +30d = day before → 30 days later, the lasting move with the reaction included. A strong run-up followed by a fade means the news was priced in (bought the rumor, sold the news). Surprises (hacks, outages, unscheduled rulings) cannot be priced in ahead, so they only get “repriced up / down” or “shrugged off”.
